Noosa is one of our family’s favourite places to visit.
The Noosa Triathlon has been running for a number of years and just seems to be getting bigger and better. I think it’s tag line used to be SWIM BIKE RUN PARTY, offering not only races for everyone but also lots of social events post-race! Noosa certainly has a lot to offer families and friends of competitors who visit for the festival.
The official website does a good job on giving you an overview on the area, accommodation options (also worth looking at the holiday house rentals through real estate agents) and good tips for competitors on where to swim, ride and run.
However, for more detailed information visit one of these websites:
Here are my top things to do in Noosa with families once the excitement of the weekend has died down:
1.Visit Sunshine Beach – start early and have breakfast on the deck in the village. Best breakfast around including delicious smoothies and bircher muesli or granola with fresh fruits and raspberry coulis. Yum! Then, stroll down to the beach which is less crowded than Noosa and soak up the beauty!
2. Walk or run from Noosa beach up through the Noosa Heads National Park
3. Visit Eumundi Markets on Wednesday or Sunday mornings – so many creative people selling beautiful things and lots of healthy food to indulge in.
4. Enjoy fish & chips (and a beer or glass of wine for the adults) on the Noosaville Wharf.
5. Treat yourself to a spa treatment Bali style at Ikatan Day Spa
